I feel as though I may never get to watch television again-----unless it has been taped for later viewing, that is.  I was happy to receive an invitation to a Christmas party tonight----until I got three more for this same night.  I can only go to one, so I chose the one I got the invitation to first----it has the best food AND is the closest to home.  I loathed having to call those people with my regrets, but the only thing worse than a guest showing up without letting the host know that she was coming is a guest not showing up without letting the host know that she was not coming.
